IMPORTANT - CHANGE OF VENUE
Notice from Festival Committee

St Andrews Gym and Senior Common Room block had been declared “out of bounds” and we had to look for another venue.
The festival committee inspected Heaton Intermediate and this was confirmed as a suitable and available site.
It was confirmed at the festival committee meeting, and other members were advised at the Area AGM.

The venue is now at Heaton Normal Intermediate School, 125 Heaton Street, Merivale
This is one block closer to the Merivale shopping centre than St Andrews is, and slightly closer to Papanui road than St A.
(Heaton Street runs off Papanui road as does Normans road) Dates still July 10th  - 14th.
Accommodation – as it was known in December that no accommodation was available at St Andrews,
in the festival newsletter registrants had been told to book their own accommodation,
and motels in Papanui road had been suggested in the newsletter.
The new venue is so close to the old venue that it shouldn’t make much difference to those who have
already arranged where they are staying.
Heaton Street is also on the Metrostar bus route and there are many buses running along Papanui road.

In summary, the change of venue shifts it a block closer to town, but still very close to the initial venue.

Notices are being sent to all who have registered and will be sent to subsequent registrants

Keep these dates free and come to Christchurch next July 10th - 14th
Festival Secretary Helen Angus
